Appreciation

I have learned to appreciate the town we live in... and it's taken me two years. We moved from Portland, Oregon in September of 2004 and it was terribly difficult to adjust to life in Cincinnati, Ohio. Yes, life here is different and challenging compared to what we were accustomed to, but I believe I have learned to find beauty in this place.

Cincinnati's Tall Stacks Festival celebrates the Paddle and Steam boats of the Ohio River.
Mariemont is a historical town just blocks from our apartment.

It's a grown up thing.

Now that we are "grown up," we have decided to have a blog. This decision is mainly to stay in touch with folks we find interesting, folks we love and folks who are good friends of ours. It's a "grown up" thing to do... right? We are both on Myspace... not so grown up. Lame actually. It sucked us in to the nature of everyone being there. Beth found friends from way back and Matt rekindled friendships from just a few years ago. Who wouldn't be attracted? Unfortunately, it's dumb. And Beth get's creepy notes from Lesbos and child molesters. Not to mention the hussies that sent their provocative photos to Matt. So... ixnay on the Myspace. Emails can take all day, and We both have full time jobs... so that is a terrible way to lose touch with people. We have great intentions of all the emails we owe friends and family, but we fail miserably. Phone calls... well, we won't go into that. Our own families don't hear from us for weeks. Oops. We really hope this Blog is fun for the readers and fun for us to post our so-called life happenings. We are not exciting... so don't expect anything miraculous. We just want to stay in touch. And, we want to know what is going on with our "folks." We love you guys. =)
