Good times had by all...

Thanksgiving Day was a fun-filled day for all of us.  Here are some neat photos of our very busy day.

Matt cooked nearly all of the dinner and Dad smoked the turkey.  After a mini fire in the oven and burned stuffing (which ended up tasting good), everything turned out delicious!  Food at the Walkers was divine, as usual.  Need I say more?

Four Months

Our little man is four months old today! I am just amazed how much he has learned and developed over the course of this past month!

• Lucas is rolling all over the place now. He manages to make his way around a room pretty effectively by rolling. Terrible, but I found him underneath the dresser the other day.
• Our little guy is talking quite a bit, although this isn't really anything new. What is new, is that he is talking with us. We goo-gah back and forth quite a bit.
• Lucas will grab hold to almost anything if he thinks it will go into his mouth. His favorites are: Pacifier, t-shirts, blankies, plastic ring things, stuffed animal ears, and his fingers.
• I believe he is teething, although we have no physical evidence of such a thing... only sadness and uncontrollable crying here and there.
• Lucas prefers to not be restrained. At the moment he is attempting to bust out of his bouncy seat...

oh wait... there it is... angry screaming/crying...I'll be right back... Okay... I'm back. Where was I? Oh right. Here are a few cute pics of our little man (and one of my man!). Above: Gotta love that binkster! Above: Gotta love that finger! Above: "Aren't I cute! Gotta love me!"

News flash!

Lucas is rolling over now. What a champ! I don't have "official rolling over media" so this cute pic will have to suffice for now.

Bff for real!

My dear, dear friend Becca took some time out to visit this weekend and as usual, we really enjoyed her company. It seems our time together is never quite long enough. There is always something more to discuss and just one more story to tell. Even still, it was refreshing to have a kindred spirit in the house. It's great that we can always just pick up right where we left off. Becca is a complete natural when it comes to small children. She instantly clicked with Brooklynn and I believe they'll be friends till the end. It was really nice to not have to worry about the kids offending or bothering Becca... it was like she's here all the time. When Becca first held Lucas, he smiled and laughed at her like no one else. The only other person we've seen Lucas laugh so hard with is Grandpa Dan. It made me incredibly happy to see our baby boy fall in love with my dearest friend! Becca, please come back soon!

Halloween cheer

On Halloween, we spent the day as a family and carved pumpkins together. Here are number of pics, although I somehow managed to not get any pics of the final products. Above: Brooklynn helped Papa with his pumpkin. As you can see, she is dressed as a fairy. Above: "Ewwww...Slimy." Later that evening, dressed Lucas in his outfit... a little lion. What a cutie!
