Friends and Family,
I cannot believe we are swooping into the Thanksgiving Holiday already... wow. Life flies by so quickly, that we look back and realize we've seen and done a lot in the past few months. Phew!
Matt has been "trapped" in the theatre working on a musical call "The Pajama Game." He is the assistant sound designer for a guy from LA. This show has been a large undertaking on Matt's part and has consumed a majority of his time. I do believe Matt sees this show as a great opportunity to learn and gather from an outside source. He has been unable to focus on anything other than this show, which is a source of frustration for him. Not to mention the fatigue and weariness he experiences from contstantly being in the theatre.
With Matt being so busy and distracted in his field, I was able to take a short trip to Portland the last week of October. The main purpose for flying into town was for Rashelle and Jacob's wedding. Rashelle and I have been friends since our days at George Fox University and I am so glad that her and Jacob have made the decision to spend their life together.

I was also able to spend some quality time with the family, which is always appreciated. I have a lot to be thankful for, and being near those whom I love really increases that emotion for me. Looking back over the years, one can see how much growth and development our family have endured... and I am confident we will continue to see the same for our future together.

So, as we turn into this Holiday season, I am encouraged by loved one's and vacations. We are looking forward to being Home in Oregon for Christmas and spending time together. We look forward to the fellowship with our friends here in Cincinnati over a Thanksgiving meal. So... I am embracing the Holidays and I am eager to let the festivities begin.
