Signifigant Growth, Spinach and Baby Names

Baby Boy Tibbs Update:
  • I am entering my 25th week, which puts me in my sixth month
  • This past week I noticed significant growth from the baby... he just feels heavier and his movements are beginning to affect my general well-being. When he kicks or rolls... it makes an impact.
  • I am very, very low on iron, which has caused severe fatigue. I just added an iron supplement to my daily cocktail of vitamins (just one more thing to gag on, right?).
  • My sleep has continued to be rough. I can't determine if it's stress or just pregnancy... but even the Melatonin won't induce sleep for longer than two hours. I think I'm just going to resign myself to sleepless nights.
  • We can't decide on a name... we want our boy to have significance behind a name, but we don't want anything weird, odd or made up. We're leaning toward Lucas.
  • I'm reading a lot right now.
  • Spinach, hamburgers and lemon water are my favorite items to put in my mouth right now.
  • I find that I am looking forward to birth.
  • I need to get more exercise.
  • The urge to clean out closets has become something I fully aware of right now. Granted, I have yet to start any project, but the urge is there.
  • I'm antsy about not having a baby room yet... our lease on the apartment is not up until the end of May. Being the planner in my family... it's a challenge for me to not prepare until the last month of my pregnancy. The logical side of me realizes that all the 'stuff won't make or break the blessing we are going to receive.

  1. Hello Beth! Isn't it cool to feel him move around? I truly enjoyed that experience in my second tri. Now in the third, his kicks are harder, stronger, and longer. The excitement is still there, but they can literally take my breath away. Thinking of you as your baby boy grows and as you prepare for him! :)
