It's about time...

...that I post something on this darn blog! It's been nearly a month and I haven't been too great about keeping things current. Matt & I have been super busy with life and such. It seems like when it rains, it pours. In spite of the drama in life, here is some good stuff to share: Baby Tibbs is growing... and my belly is starting to feel a tidge heavier than comfortable. Here's the latest pic (I'm at 27 weeks): I feel like I look like a heifer. As long as our baby boy is healthy, it's worth it, right?
  • He's kicking and punching and giving my bladder the 'people's elbow' on a consistent basis now. It's so weird when you can see him move from the outside... Matt said it's alien-like.
  • We're still thinking of names... and I think we've settled on a few options. So much pressure. It's not like we're having a puppy.
  • I've officially grown out of one pair of my maternity pants (my favorite ones!). The belt-line is too tight and SO uncomfortable.
  • My affection for sweets has not ceased from rearing it's ugly head.
  • I'm really paranoid about sleeping on my back (due to proper blood flow), and every time I wake up on my back I freak out!
  • Every week that goes by, I grow increasingly more attached to our baby. I am very eager to meet our little boy.
Here's a pic from last week (26 weeks): I can't tell much of a difference in size, but maybe you can. Some mornings I wake up and notice significant growth.

  2. You're looking great, Beth! I loved your list because it reminded me how I felt around 27 weeks. I totally hear ya about the laying on your back paranoia. Baby Tibbs is growing into a healthy boy, and we'll keep praying for you! :)

  3. Um, sweetheart. You are all tummy. You can even see how you're still skinny above your baby belly. Mine all blends together! Heifer indeed!! And don't fret about the waking up on your back thing. I still do it. You will always wake up, in which case, you just roll on your side. Bring on the candy!!!

  4. Beth, I think you look gorgeous! I am so excited you guys are having a baby. You will have an endless supply of hand me downs. They are the best. I love it when my sister sends stuff my way for Bug.

Beth you do not look like a heifer at all but are instead glowing and beautiful!
