Red Butte Gardens

It seems there is never a day of boredom around here (during the Summer, that is), because there are a plethora of things to see and do in Salt Lake City. Today, for example, Erin took Lucas and I to the Red Butte Gardens. These are fancy gardens up in the hills, which overlook the city.

The Gardens include beautiful pathways of fragrant plants and vegetation. They also include large lawns to sit on and waterways to cool yourself in. We ended our day at the children's garden, which includes fountains and small pathways that remind me of something resembling Alice in Wonderland (without the creepy). Needless to say, it was a fun day for both adult and child.

Ironically, Lucas kept sneezing while we walked through the echinacea.
Quentin and Lucas played in the fountains in spite of their street clothes... which resulted in a naked ride home!

  1. Oh my goodness! I had to do a double take for that snake.

  2. Liam would love that snake. Not because it's a snake, mind you, but because it shoots out a stream of water.

He seems to enjoy our garden hose more then the sprinkler.
