Today is the first day of Spring and as we welcomed the day with a fresh dusting of snow, I imagined the day feeling warmer. Not to be let down, the sun is out... bright and full... but there is still that desire for warmth. It's forty degrees today, not nearly warm enough to feel like Spring, but maybe warm enough for a quick walk and thoughts of what is to come with this fresh new season.
Spring a time of dusting out the spaces in our homes, our bodies and minds. Winter leaves me feeling cruddy and cooped up. The fresh air of Spring will blow all of that away as we soon allow the sun to saturate our skin and bite into the fruits of the season. Just as we realize Spring has indeed set in, Summer will be just around the corner.
If
we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not
sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome. ~Anne
