Updates

Hi All, I know it's been awhile since we've posted anything. Life has been pretty hectic, although we have much to be thankful for. Instead of writing a nice, long post... I'll bullet a few points: 1) Baby Tibbs -I am in my 19th week of pregnancy... and feeling like a champ! -With that in mind, I do have some minor back pain. Ugh. -Matt and I find out the gender of our little one on Friday... needless to say, we're super excited! -My latest cravings are cold milk, graham crackers with peanut butter, fresh grapefruit and smoothies. -I have yet to post a baby-belly photo, because I'm a bit insecure about my thick middle section. I promise I'll post one soon... -I can feel the baby move now... wow... it's pretty amazing to say the least. I can't wait till Matt can feel it too! -I am overwhelmed in trying to decide what is the safest, best, most cost-effective baby 'stuff' out there. How can we really know? I could use some help in this area. 2) Work -Matt is still contracting himself for 'odd jobs' in the theater/sound/film/music field. He's plugging away. -Work for me has been super busy... and I've been trying to pull ten-hour days to try and catch up. -Details spared, Matt has an interview with a University for a full-time faculty position. We're praying God will provide away for our future. And that's it for now...

  1. WOW! Lots going on for sure! So glad to hear you're feeling well--except for the back pain. I started to get that and then slept with a wedge pillow underneath my bump (even though it was barely showing). It totally helped me.

As for the baby gear...you're way ahead of me! :) We're just now looking into that stuff! We bought "Best Baby Gear" by Great Expectations, and that's been helpful. A friend of ours also referred us to "Baby Bargains" but we haven't looked into that one. Happy reading, and we'll be praying for ya!

  2. Thanks for the update! I look forward to hearing how your ultrasound goes. We have one in two weeks. I know how you feel about the whole picture thing. I pretty much just look fat at this point. :) I can still wear most of my clothes, though, which is nice.

Kirk really likes dadlabs.com for product reviews. It's a site designed for dads and has some comedy bits built into it.

  3. Beth,

Don't worry about stuff. Stuff is stuff. Seriously. Make a FEW priorities. Ours were stroller, carrier, swaddles (I HIGHLY recommend Aden & Anais, we're still using them daily - organic muslin). We didn't stress about a crib, even, because we knew she wasn't going to sleep in one. I would get a Moses basket or a bassinet at first. BORROW what you can.

This is getting too long. I'll send you an email. :)

    Love, Liz
