Hello all! It's been a couple weeks since we've posted anything, so I suppose I should fill you in with a couple pointers. Here's what's new:
  • Matt got a job with Netflix. He's happy to have work, but his schedule will prove to be challenging. He works four ten-hour days with Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays off. In addition to a poopy schedule, he works evening swing-shift. In spite of the schedule, he'll still be able to maintain his free-lance work, which is encouraging.
  • The purpose for Matt's new job is that I will not be going back to work after my maternity leave. I put my letter of resignation in at work three weeks ago... the first week of July will be my last week working full-time. I am looking forward to not working for awhile and just focusing on family and our new little bundle of joy.
  • Matt and I will be moving into Beaverton in two weeks. We will be renting a studio from my parents. This has been a humbling decision, but a wise one. I'm really excited to live with my sister again!
  • I am at thirty-two weeks of my pregnancy. I have an appointment today and will fill you all in on the details in a later post. I can't believe we have roughly eight weeks left until baby Lucas arrives!

So, that's the scoop... for now. We've been SO busy and I feel like my brain is struggling to keep up. Thank goodness Matt is still keeping it together. In addition, I think we could all use a little springtime warmth and relaxation.

  4. Angela, I can't wait to hold him either. This could be a whole other blog post, but just the other day I had my first urge to have him out and in my arms. I can't explain the swell in my heart as I anticipate his arrival.
    :)
